On January 20, the Minsk Archcathedral Cathedral hosted an ecumenical divine service of representatives of the Catholic Church, Orthodox Church, Protestant Church and the Bible Society in the Republic of Belarus. During the service each representative of Christian faiths delivered a speech.

Igor Mikhailov, Executive Director of the Bible Society in Belarus, told about the spiritual crisis in the modern world. According to him, the joint work of the confessions can help to overcome it.

I. Mikhailov noted that the Biblical Society in Belarus had established an interfaith committee that would work on the joint translation of the Bible, thus contributing to the dialogue between Christian denominations.

"We need to pray for success of this initiative, so that an interconfessional translation of the Bible will appear", said the representative of the Society.
